World Communism Team: Season 54 Part II

Written by World Communism Team at 08:55 11/9-2020

World Communism Team’s second fortnight of Season 54 started off on Welsh roads at wales Conwy - Porthmadog, where a ethiopia Addis Gebreselassie in promising form registered 4th place after a strong display in the race.

Two days after this, hill sprinter tanzania Kuumba Rusesabagina was up at norway Klatrekongen av Tryvann, a race around Oslo decently well suited for the young rider. Following a great team effort to keep him close to the front, tanzania Kuumba Rusesabagina crossed the line in 3rd position. Securing the first personal Division 5 official result for the former U23 star. And the third one for World Communism Team. Confirming to the team chairman that the squad is more than ready to be a feature at this level of racing, and to continue growing steadily.

As this race in Oslo was taking place, tanzania Kuumba Rusesabagina and the team were getting ready to attend the S53 OCM awards ceremony taking place the next day. The rider having been honoured with a nomination in the Best U23 rider category.

tanzania Kuumba Rusesabagina received second place for his trouble, with rival hill sprinter south korea Byung-kwang Namgung of isle of man Nuhiu Rules receiving the award ahead of him.

The two riders shook hands for pictures as the Korean received his trophy, the pair being well acquainted, after riding in the same races on a regular basis for a fair amount of time. And competing for positions on the same race profiles in a fierce rivalry.

Getting ready to go back to action, World Communism Team travelled back to the team’s backyard in Africa, to approach Nigeria Lagos Grand Prix, headed by team veteran south Africa Xolani Lamola, as a race without pressure to build up on form and team spirit before returning to racing on more favourable routes.

Returning to more competitive racing, tanzania Kuumba Rusesabagina lead a Hill Sprint squad at Armenia Spitak - Gyumri, where on the slopes of the Caucasus, the young captain was able to register an encouraging 5th place.

All while another group of riders raced in Macedonia Bitola - Kavadartsi, again led by team veteran south Africa Xolani Lamola, with kenya Asbel Asiago, ghana André Tié Bi, and south africa Farouk Dingi trying to catch the right moves from early on. And with malawi Isa Ilubala also allowed to ride for himself.

The latest results having the team well secured in the upper tier of Division 5, in anticipation for objectives later in the season.
